Iberika was established with an intercultural focus on the languages and cultures of the Iberian peninsula (Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Basque and Galician) before expanding to English, French, Dutch and German.
Iberika offers intensive language courses based on the European reference framework for languages that take place in small groups. The courses are tutored exclusively by native speakers, who are able to communicate engagingly about their culture of origin. Its language courses are therefore never simply theoretical, but on the contrary varied and lively learner experiences. A large part of IEDA teachers has participated as trainers in various official courses on: management of LMS platforms (Moodle), digital tools for education, video creation, design of OERs and strategies for online education. Some of our teachers have contributed to the training of professors from other public online centres, such as CEED – CEEDCV in Valencia (Spain). In addition, our centre maintains a new faculty program through ongoing training activities and specific training classrooms for teachers. Finally, part of our teaching staff collaborates with the CEP (Centre for Teachers), which is the public entity that manages the official teachers’ training and certification.
